The adoption and usage of Git and GitHub as software development and version control is growing in popularity. These platforms are essential in managing different software projects as it provides a traceable project repository and acts as collaborating medium for interested parties. Having said these, Git and GitHub are also applied in various ways. According to Stieben (2014), these platforms can also function for travel recommendations. With its collaborative environment, having multiple contributors contribute their recommendations to a collection will maximize all sorts of must-see-places all around the world. This will reduce the weight of work and augment the quality of the information that will meet the needs of users. Moreover, these platforms can also be utilized for Medical Research. Collaboration of discoveries, medical data’s and medical theories are vital for effective medical research. Posting these results and having discussion threads in their repository will make the work more efficient.
